We celebrate in our social life, so why not celebrate in the corporate world too? Recognizing milestones with the ones you spend (probably more than) 40-hour work weeks with brings your team closer. Whether you’re a Fortune 500, non-profit, startup or anything in between, here are five corporate events your company should be hosting. And we’ll plan them for you!

Masonic Homes of Kentucky

1. Conferences

One of the most popular types of corporate events to host is a conference. While they can tend to be a bit mundane, we’re here to make sure they’re anything but boring. Here’s one we planned for Masonic Homes of Kentucky’s Conference Evening, which was an outdoor tented event complete with honey party favors that were sourced on-site. See? Conferences can be fun!

Bristol Development Group

2. Grand Openings

Grand openings are one of the most exciting (and stressful!) times in a company’s lifespan, so planning the event on top of actually opening the business is something we can take off your plate. One of our favorites was Bristol Development Group’s grand opening celebration at >Veranda at Norton Commons. We had to call out the best part of the day, which was all of the delicious bite-sized hors d'oeuvres by Dupree Catering that were passed around.

Susan G. Komen

3. Annual Events

Have something that you want to recognize each and every year? Then throwing an annual party is a no-brainer. One we’ve loved creating in the past was Susan G. Komen’s “More than Pink” event here in Louisville, which raises money for breast cancer awareness, showcases supporters and survivors, and helps promote the cause.

MPI at Keeneland

4. Team Building Events

It never hurts to strengthen the bond in your company. A stronger team makes for a more productive unit, and that’s just what team building events aim to do. At MPI’s event at Keeneland, we opted for a Salsa Challenge, where the group broke into teams with one mission: to create the best salsa, judged on presentation, flavor, and team spirit.

DD Williamson

5: Anniversary Parties

Last but not least, celebrating a milestone is a must, and that doesn’t stop at anniversaries. You can’t go wrong with planning an event to recognize how far you’ve come. We showcased DD Williamson’s 150th Anniversary using more than 80,000 colored pencils, which were donated to JCPS after the event was complete.
