Lauren is the creative force behind Olio Event Group. She is an event planner, director, and visionary whose top priority is executing successful events for her clients.
Lauren graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Advertising & Public Relations. Since 2004, Lauren has executed incredible events with imagination and a keen eye for detail. She consistently pushes the boundaries of creativity to make sure each of her client’s events are unique. Yet, she remains conscious of clients’ timeline and budget. She is part-artist, part-engineer, and part-logistician.
Abbey Ferguson comes to Olio with more than a decade of experience designing, managing, and executing events primarily in the culinary space. Most recently she held the position of VP of Programming & Productions for IWSC Group North America, and led programming for Atlanta Food & Wine Festival since its inception in 2011. Abbey joins Olio Event Group as Vice President, playing a lead role in Olio’s culinary programming, sponsorships, and special events. In this role, she will also continue to lead the programming for Atlanta Food & Wine Festival. She believes untouchable experiences are created by combining the right ideas with the right relationships… and her national network of celebrity chefs, wine enthusiasts, restaurateurs, and food and beverage influencers agree!
Senior Event Designer
Maizie joined OLIO in 2017. She has over a decade of experience in interior design, illustration, graphic design, and exhibition design. Maizie has an undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Marymount University and a graduate degree in Exhibition Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, D.C. Maizie’s projects have included designs for The World Bank, The Danish Embassy, The Smithsonian Institution, GE Appliances, Chevron Lubricants, and more. Maizie loves the challenge of merging a phenomenal guest experience with a corporate brand.
VP of Operations
Lexie Larsen joined Olio Event Group in 2017. Lexie returned to her hometown of Louisville, KY after studying Psychology and Fine Arts at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Lexie's expertise in project coordination and client services comes from her prior experience in sales and account management with other business organizations. Lexie provides meticulous oversight of every detail and adds an exceptional level of service to each of her projects.
Erin is our in-house travel guru and point of contact for all things hotel and accommodation-related. She is a liaison between clients and hotels. She makes sure each experience is smooth from start to finish, and customized to clients' needs and priorities.
Erin graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Psychology, and also has a Paralegal degree from UCLA.
Paul Latham, AIFD CFD KMF, has been in the floral industry for over 10 years. He is an Accredited Member of the American Institute of Floral Design, a certified Floral Designer, a Kentucky Master Florist, and was the 2016 Floral Designer of the Year for both Kentucky and Tennessee. Paul has years of experience in creating incredible, ornate floral designs for high-end events for both social and corporate clients.
Carpenter & Producer
Eric Povill is a Louisville, KY native and a 20+ year veteran of the service industry. Eric is a jack of all trades and integral to the production and execution of Olio’s grandest ideas.
VP of Production
Alex manages our production team and bridges the gap between project managers’ plans and successful installation. Alex has a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville and got his start planning and executing events on campus.
Gabriella LaPilusa is a recent graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in English and Religious Studies. In addition to her studies, being a part of different boards and organizations while having worked at a University office for the last several years allowed Gabriella to recognize the importance to consistently deliver customer service excellence with attention to detail for all projects with which she was involved. She brings this strength and diversity to assist with project coordination for Olio events ensuring that only the finest service is delivered.
Samantha joined Olio Event Group in 2018. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Marketing and Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles in 2016 and spent her summers interning for a startup in San Francisco. After graduation, Samantha moved to Louisville to continue her digital marketing career in the food and beverage industry. From creating social content to scoping out the perfect blog post topic, she now brings a millennial's perspective on all things marketing for Olio Event Group.
